In fact, statistically speaking, if you use a sufficiently long password to encrypt your files, a hacker using the brute-force attack method of trying every possible password would spend longer than the known age of the universe to crack your file.
Just drag a file from your desktop or from the finder window onto the crypt.xhead icon in the dock. You will be prompted for a password to secure the file and that's it. Do the same thing for an encrypted file and it will decrypt.
